Dyana got up and got dressed. She had to go out and feed otherwise she would die. “I won’t be gone long,” she told him as she got ready to leave.

He grabbed her and drew her close to him as he kissed her goodbye. “Be safe,” he said as he let her go into the night.

An hour later Dyana returned to the castle blood still dripping from the corners of her mouth. She had fed on her human prey to satisfy the thirst that all vampires have. She was now sated and happy.

“Did you miss me Caim?”

“You know I did. Welcome back my love,” he replied and then kissed her tasting the blood on her lips.
